Cedar City Warhammer 40k League
Welcome to the Cedar City Warhammer 40k Competitive League! This website serves as the central hub for our local competitive Warhammer 40,000 community, where players come together to engage in structured, tournament-style gameplay.
Our league is designed to provide a consistent and fair competitive environment that mirrors official tournament standards. We focus on maintaining high-quality games with proper 3-hour time limits (with reasonable leniency when needed), standardized terrain layouts that follow current competitive guidelines, and predetermined missions with organized player pairings each round.
All games are played using the most current tournament rules and formats, ensuring that our local players stay sharp and prepared for larger competitive events. Whether you're a seasoned tournament veteran or looking to dip your toes into competitive 40k for the first time, our league provides the perfect environment to test your skills, refine your strategies, and grow as a player.
Code of Conduct
By participating in our league, all players enter into an implied agreement to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship and community spirit. We believe that competitive Warhammer 40k should be challenging, fair, and above all, enjoyable for everyone involved.
Core Principles:
- Be kind and generous to your opponent at all times
- Communicate clearly throughout your games – explain your actions, ask questions when uncertain, and be patient when rules interactions arise
- Be as descriptive as possible during gameplay to avoid "gotcha" moments – clear communication prevents misunderstandings and keeps games flowing smoothly
- Work collaboratively with your opponent – remember, you're both working together against the game!
Remember: While we're all here to compete and strive for victory, we're also human beings who are dedicating significant time from our busy lives to enjoy this hobby together. Be mindful of your opponent's time, be respectful of different skill levels and experience, show leniency when appropriate, and maintain open communication throughout each match.
Our goal is to continue to break the negative stereotypes often associated with competitive gaming communities. We aim to prove that competitive play can be intense, strategic, and challenging while still being kind, respectful, and welcoming.
Don't be a jerk – it's really that simple.
At the end of the day, we're all here to have fun, improve our skills, and build a stronger local 40k competitive community.
